A sci-fi masterpiece.
So many franchises we have today owe their success to Aliens. The Zerg from Starcraft? Aliens. The Tyranids from Warhammer 40k? Aliens. The bugs from Starship Troopers the film (not the book)? Aliens. The Brood from X-Men? Aliens. The Flood from Halo? Aliens. Probably a few others I've missed? Aliens. ... |

Stay Frosty
Filled to the brim with testosterone and cheesy-but-memorable one-liners, James Cameron decided to compliment the original Alien movie rather than attempt to better it. The resulting celebration of military hardware and explosive set pieces still manages to give the species from the original movie even more of a backstory and ... |

Aliens
It's a damn shame it took James Cameron fifteen years to finally get back to directing action films. In just a decade spanning the 80s and 90s, he made four of the best and most original such movies in that period, plus The Abyss which was okay I guess. ... |
