A highly acclaimed and influential character-driven comedy about teenagers, girls, and warm apple pie. This film jump-started a new wave of (markedly inferior) teen sex comedies.
The film originally featured a scene in which Jim's younger brother walks in on him in a sexual act. The scene was cut however before filming started.6 More Trivia

Four high school friends (Kevin Myers, Chris “Oz” Ostreicher, Jim Levenstein, and Paul Finch) are in their senior year. Each boy, in his own way, is having trouble with women. Since none of the boys have lost their virginities, they make a pact to each lose their virginity before their high school graduation.
Kevin, having had a steady girlfriend for much of high school, believes that it will be easy for him to lose his virginity. His girlfriend, Vicky, however, accuses him of only being with her for sex. Kevin, therefore, is faced with the challenge of repairing his relationship with Vicky before the end of the school year.
Oz believes that his reputation as an insensitive jock is preventing him from having sex. To combat this perceived image, Oz decides to join the jazz choir. There he meets choir singer Heather. The two start to date, but when Heather learns of Oz’s reputation, she breaks up with him.
Finch decides that the best way for him to lose his virginity is to pay Vicky’s friend Jessica to spread rumors around the school about his sexual prowess. Jealous of the attention Finch begins to receive from the girls of the high school, a fellow student, Stifler, puts laxative into Finch’s mochachino. Finch, in a desperate rush to use the bathroom, ends up using the women’s bathroom at his school. After he emerges from the bathroom, he is publicly humiliated and left dateless.
Jim attempts to pursue Nadia, an exchange student, to lose his virginity. Stifler persuades Jim to set up a webcam in his room so that Jim can broadcast his sexual conquest to his friends. Jim, however, mistakenly broadcasts the stream to his entire school. Before he and Nadia can engage in sex, Jim prematurely ejaculates, twice. Jim is so humiliated that no other girl in the school will go out with him to prom. In an act of desperation, Jim asks band geek Michelle Flaherty to the prom because she is the only girl in school not to have a date.
With the night of graduation upon them, the four friends head to an after-party at Stifler’s house. Vicky and Kevin break away from the party to have awkward sex in an upstairs bedroom. After the act Vicky breaks up with Kevin believing that the two will drift apart when they go to different colleges.
Oz confesses to Heather about the pact he made to lose his virginity. He tells her that since meeting her that the pact no longer matters; he has won regardless of what happens. The two then make love together on the porch. Afterwards, Oz, no longer interested in the pact, doesn’t tell his friends that he had sex with Heather.
Jim and Michelle go together to an empty room. Michelle reveals that she isn’t an innocent band geek, and that she only went to the prom with Jim because she knew that he’d be easy to have sex with. Michelle is unexpectedly aggressive in bed and dominates Jim. When Jim wakes up in the morning he discovers that he was used for a one-night stand.
Dateless, Finch mopes downstairs while the party rages on above him, where he meets Stifler’s mom. She is attracted to Finch and the two have sex on a pool table. Stifler enters in the morning and discovers that the have had sex.
The morning after the prom, the four friends meet for breakfast at their favorite restaurant where they celebrate the end of one stage of life and the beginning of a new one.
