Sir Anthony Hopkins is a Welsh actor (naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000) perhaps best known for his role as cannibalistic serial killer Hannibal Lecter in The Silence of the Lambs. Hopkins got his start with the Royal National Theater in 1965 studying under Sir Laurence Oliver and is famous for his dedicated preparation for acting roles.
