To be fair the Space Shuttle would be carrying plenty of its own oxygen (for the astronauts to breathe, and as a liquid fuel oxidizer), so the Shuttle space explosion wouldn't really be a problem in reality. Back off there physics boy, we've got CHEMISTRY up in this bitch!

Yeah, considering he already made Apollo 13 a Bestie...

I think Armageddon is way better to watch with people of movie-buff-less-ness than Deep Impact.

Amazing feature guys, the writing of this one was so sharp and the films play off each other perfectly. I can't wait to see the next pairing!

These videos are still amazing Rorie! Keep doing as many as you possibly can because they are infinitely entertaining. I think Armageddon is more entertaining in some weird ways but I can't argue with science. I wonder how this scientific process would judge a pair of high fantasy side grades.

Video features like this are more what I want from this site than anything else.

Armageddon is one of the worst films I've ever seen, it offended me how bad that film was. I won't lie, it's blatant Americanisation had much to do with it, but it generally wasn't a well made movie.

I can't understand for the life of me why I can watch hour and a half videos on giantbomb.com with zero hiccup but one little ten minute video on screened stops to load ever four seconds. It drives me fucking bananas. What the fuck?

Non-scientifically speaking Armageddon was way better, but I can't argue against science....good points comparing the two!

Armageddon is a pretty stupid movie, but it's fun as hell when you leave your brain at home and tell science to eff off for a couple hours.

No offense to science of course; he/she/it is a class act.

Agree with the final result, but I would have given Armageddon more for the ending scene and less to Deep Impact for the car explosion.
