Way off my predictions

Its not hard to predict when critics aren't able to set aside their desire to deride a movie based on its existing at all. Left Behind happens to be a poorly made movie, but if it happened to be well made you'd never find out from the Hollywood elite. I have no doubt this film is probably poorly made, but reviews are largely taking this opportunity to deride the concepts of the book itself and not how well the film is shot or acted in.

The audience grade for Atlas Shrugged on RT was like 86.

It doesn't surprise me that this film turned out like crap. I was cringing during those two clips they released. Bad actors that sounded like they are reading directly out of the book.

@ryanwho: That's not the purpose of critical analysis. Not to evaluate how well adapted the source material is, but the experience and ideas that a film presents. Part of that is the original storytelling constructed by Rand, and not many call her a strong writer.

not surprised I became bored while watching the trailer

The acting looked wooden from the trailers and the rather out dated premise of train companies being the leaders of industry is silly today.

The specific audience that is going to see this movie is going to love it.  People who don't like that audience are going to hate it (I'm assuming the critics used for RT and metacritic).  I imagine if you come to this movie without a bias and trying to be objective the movie would be poor to ok (2-3 stars out of 5) but I doubt many critics will come at this movie from that perspective.
