I laughed when I read about the premise of this show months ago, but Jason Isaacs is going a LOT to sell it. Damn he is captivating.

The full pilot is now up on NBC's website and Hulu. It is EXTREMELY good and Jason Isaacs turns in a great performance.

Holy. Crap.

I had no idea this show even existed before I saw this. Now, I can tell you that I am on board. The premise sounds really promising and unique, you could go a lot of ways with it. Also, from what I saw in this preview, Jason Isaacs is terrific. And I really enjoyed the use of warm and cold color tones between the two "universes".

The only other Pilot that really got me like that was the House MD one, and it turned out that I really enjoyed it (the first 3-4 seasons at least). Come to think of it, the Pilot for House MD also did something neat with color tones.

Bottom line, I am sooooo watching Awake.

If I remember correctly, the House MD pilot included a scene in which they cut a dude's throat to shove a tube down it. Damn near made me sick - probably why they omitted anything really graphical for another couple seasons.

This show looks really good. Too good for NBC. I'd watch it.

This show will be so great that it'll be gone within a season like Journeyman. Damn you NBC.

Or Southland.
