Batman Beyond shows the future of the DC Animated Universe, where the original Batman, Bruce Wayne, is too old to continue his war on crime. He takes in a high school student named Terry McGinnis and trains him to take up the mantle of the Bat, with an upgraded version of the Batsuit and advanced technology.
