A reimagining of 70's cult sci-fi TV show, the series follows the titular spaceship and it's fleet carrying the last survivors of a nuclear holocaust perpetrated by advanced robots known as cylons. Their mission: find a new home.

Series Overview
The show is centered around the politics of the humanities last survivors who are searching the galaxy for a new home. The series begins with the Cylons, a race of cyborgs originally created by humanity to be their servants only to revolt and cause a war, returning to wipe out their former masters. The Battlestar Galactica was going through its decommissioning service as the Cylons attacked, and the ships old and primative technology is save's it from being destroyed in the initial assult. After this attack, the the presidential line of succession leavs the minister for education, Laura Roslin as president of the 12 colonies. She then goes about gathering what star ships have not been destroyed into a fleet, these ships together with the Galactica, form a convoy and leave the 12 colonies to find the fabled 13th colony, Earth.
