Be Kind Rewind is a 2008 comedy movie following Mike and his friend Jerry. Mike works at a run-down VHS rental store in a neighborhood with a little bit of history to it. Jerry, through an insane series of events, ends up erasing every tape in the store and they have to work together to remake, or 'swede' every movie in the store. These sweded movies are short in length and have an amateur quality to them. The movies end up being huge hits in the community and eventually are confiscated by the government due to copyright infringement.. They decide to make one last movie about hometown hero Fats Waller and the entire community gets involved.
