I love this movie. Phenomenal script and Paul Schofield gives, without question, one of the greatest film performances of all time.

I shall give this a look! Great job, as always, Rorie!

This is a pretty good movie.  It kind of drags at the start, but the end is really great.

I really love the two different sides of Rorie that are on Screened their is the sometimes incredibly reserved Rorie then there is the side that squeals of Puppies and sometimes just speaks gibberish. Rorie is awesome and this was a great feature.

I saw this in Religion class this year- I thought it was perfectly fine... everyone else loathed it. Yikes.

Yeah, I'm usually OK with watching old movies, but those early color 1960s historical movies just never seem like something I could sit through. However, this movie is just two hours, and Rorie made it sound well-worth my time, so, maybe I'll check it out.

Interesting! I am currently reading his book Utopia (which coined the english word as you know it now). He wrote it while hiding it from the king. I will check this movie out later.

Never seen it but it must be good.

Also I dunno about everyone else but I find history quite interesting, regardless of  personal stories.

Great work!

I'll check the film out. I've never seen it, and all I know is that when asked what movie he would ever like to remake Kevin Smith said this. Weird choice but when it come to people in a room talking I guess that's Kevin Smith's wheel house.

If you are in the mood for more of this kind of film try Becket and The Lion in Winter (two great O'Toole movies). Then go for the Olivier Shakespeare collection (or the Uca "Shakespeare: The Collection" box set).

Seemed to me like you spent a lot of time telling what happens in the movie, instead of telling why you liked it. I dunno, just stood out to me.

Anyways, the movie seems pretty good, I might check it out.

Wrong.

Granted, it doesn't have giant robots punching or fart jokes. It just has a sublime script, peerless performances and a gripping story.

Considering that my profile image is from A Man for All Seasons, I'm somewhat biased, but this is hands down one of my favorite movies of all time. The direction is a little heavy handed with the lighting and its use of pastoral imagery, but if you are open to impeccably dry wit this is a hilarious film.

There are so many moments where Moore goes up against Cromwell or Wolsey when I just want to burst out with BURN!!! And beneath the humor is an image of a man of principles that may not have been completely accurate to who he was but could not be closer to who I wish I could be. It is as inspiring as it is re-watchable, and I am so glad to see it get some respect around this site.

I had to watch this movie for a film class when i was in college, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. I honestly don't remember much about it now, so I should probably give it another look, given how easy it is to catch it on Netflix. And, as always, Rorie did a great job on the feature.

I want to see this now.  Thanks for the great video feature :)
