Great entry. My favorite Cameron Crowe film bar none.
@_chapel_: Which is shocking, because it's so good. Like, she threw everything into this movie and just used it all up in one go.
Also, Billy Crudup gives one of the best performances I've ever seen.
I have nothing negative to say about this movie - thanks for reminding me to watch this again by posting this!

@ChiliPalmer: I'd be happy to be wrong about the director's cut, but it just seems to weaken the movie for me. And I usually love long-ass movies, so I might just be reacting weirdly to it. Anyone else feel similarly?
@Rorie: Have to say that I dug the DC version the most (not by a huge margin - it's like Scarlett Johansson in overalls vs bikini - both a awesome, but one of them is just a bit better).
Maybe it was because I saw it at age fifteen, but I really could relate to this film, and it had a strong impact on me I wasn't expecting. I loved every second.
Also, I've considered buying the Blu-ray, because I own the DVD and Have literally watched that movie dozens of times, but I've tried to avoid the director's cut. I don't want it to ruin my love of this amazing film. Is it still worth seeing if I love the theatrical cut, or should I just avoid it entirely?
OK this is crazy, I watched this movie not 24 hours ago. And now it's a feature. Creepy.
Edit: I have only watched the extended version and I did like it, but I can imagine it being better with a biter tighter pace.
This is one of those films that I know is brilliantly made but didn't feel anything while watching it. This is probably because it has very little in it I can relate to.
I remember this movie getting mixed reviews when it came out. I finally got to see it when it came to cable so many years ago and thought it was pretty cool. Nothing groundbreaking, but a good flick.
I really didn't feel this movie. At the time I thought: "What's the big deal with Kate Hudson?" while the rest of the world were soiling their shorts over her.
Nice to see time has proven me right on that one.
LOCK THE GATES!!!
Nicely done.
