Really neat, great film to start out on seeing how it's not universally acclaimed.  Would be nice if you elaborated when you first watched this movie and how it actually holds up today, it's nice when people talk about their favourites in the way they don't just share what they think about the movie but also how they experienced it and if those first impressions of the movie is the same today or if it actually got better/worse.

Never saw it.

At the time it struck me as just another one of those insufferably smug Whit Stillman yuppie comedies.  I now know it's one of those insufferably smug Noah Baumbach movies.

Wes Anderson has a lot to answer for.

Watching this now, I think I totally forgot the point I was trying to make in the beginning: I think the reason I like this movie so much is that I watched it just as I got out of college and felt a lot of aimlessness about life in general. So that's probably why it struck me so much.

okay i like these features that your doing, but i feel personally that you are introducing alot of new features and never making any videos for the old features. Will we ever see another defending your movie? remake rematch? what you missed? C'mon man.

@LightsCameraAction: I wouldn't be surprised if you saw a couple of those features come back next week...

I LOVE this movie. It consolidated the college experience for me. I love most of Baumbach's movies. I love how Otis was anxious about everything and insecure, yet Chet was the guy everyone made fun of. This is one of the movies I watch every summer. People complain that Baumbach is pretentious and he speaks to only white, middle class college going people. True. But that is what a lot of white people share and it resonates with us.

For me it has to be "Almost Famous"

It came at the perfect time in my life where I was feeling alone and wanted to be something more than myself.

Can't remember how many times I've heard the words "welcome to the inaugural edition..." in the opening seconds of a screened video.
Whatever happened to Remake Rematch?

@thatfrood: Have faith, brother. They're still in the testing phase of the site. I'm sure our old favorites will come back soon enough.
