I remember watching Robocop when I was about 7, the scene in the boardroom when his chest gets ripped up, and the hand explosion bit stayed with me for a long time.
Oh no, Jeff's so sick that he's starting to post on Screened!
I also love the anti-media undertone that's in this movie.
And yes, this is also Cyberpunk. Large corporations, biomodifications, dystopia.. it's all there.
Now do a Defending Your Movie of Robocop 2
I just have to post the Robocop Rap: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wUnMF7dV86k&feature=channel_video_title
Rorie nailed pretty much everything I love about this movie. It's in my top 10, no question.
I wish I still had the Criterion Edition of this. Not sure I could watch it though. It's even more violent than the theatrical version!
Sorry, Rorie. You're usually quite good-looking.
Serve the public trust. Protect the innocent. Uphold the law.

Rorie, lay off the booze.
Also, RoboCop is amazing. Great vid as always fellas.
this fine man alone so he can write more awesome stuff about RoboCop. That goes for you boy puppies too.
Great movie. I think everyone can agree that cop movies should be fertile grounds for satire. Robocop is no exception.
But, funny enough Detroit has been controlled by liberals for years and I've not seen it do anything but get worse.
doot doot doot doo doo

always loved the first Robocop.... the less said about the sequels the better
