Bride of Chucky picks up a few years after Chucky was destroyed at the end of Child's Play 3. Chucky's pieces are retrieved by Tiffany, who ends up sewing them up and resurrecting Chucky. Chucky kills Tiffany and transfers her spirit into a doll, and they travel with a teen couple to New Jersey, enjoying their killing spree along the way.

Bride of Chucky is the first film in the series to be overtly comedic, with the movie having a clear emphasis of comedy over horror.
