Trivia:

Castle is seen playing poker with a bunch of his "writer friends" which includes: Stephen J. Cannell (creator of The Rockford Files & The A-Team), James Patterson (creator of the Alex Cross mystery novels), Michael Connelly (also a creator a series of famous mystery novels). This poker game is a recurring event throughout the rest of the series, sometimes offering Castle advice on his current novel or his current case.
