The Hunger Games return with such a sequel twist that you can't believe writer Suzanne Collins didn't think of film when writing. Catching Fire builds up with all types of subversive messaging which is interesting but also brings into relief the limitations of the genre and film.
A masterpiece of 1980's cinema. Caveman chronicles the struggle between the "weak" outcast cavemen and the "strong" dominant cavemen.
In the untamed prehistoric world, Atouk (played by the great entertainer Ringo Starr) leads the outcast cavemen as they learn to survive on their own. Using only their wits, the outcasts must overcome dinosaurs, the elements and abominable snowmen. Over time they master fire, tame dinosaurs and learn to make tools and weapons. In the end they must defeat the alpha cavemen and take their rightful place in the world.
The lesson of the film is that brains beat brawn.
Also, don't miss the scene in which a Tyrannosaurus Rex gets stoned. Classic.
