I'm not sure anything could get me excited for a Superman film at this point, but I trust Nolan.

" Ew they're making a Clash of the Titans 2?  I think Superman getting a "300" Snyder treatment would look pretty damn cool. It would certainly make Superman, who I find incredibly dull, much more intriguing. "
How could they possibly do a sequel?  I haven't watched the new one (too scared of how bad it is), but is it really possible?

@Olivaw:
Um, I'm a comicbook nerd, been one for some 25+ years. I've read some shit.
And it's good you use that word, cos that is what Superman is, shit.

EDIT: And by 25+ years I mean I've been reading comics for that long. I'm older.
EDIT 2: BTW, I never said Superman was dumb. I said he was boring.

I think its stupid how everyone's trying to turn their other iconic characters into Batman. We don't need a Superman that acts like Batman, we need a director who fucking gets Superman. The trench coat wearing nihilists who saw TDK 6 times are not who made Superman popular.

He should fucking direct it.

Again, this is because you haven't read the right books.

If he can make Superman relevant again I will truly consider him a genius.  I believe he can though because the most interesting part of Superman is Clark Kent and Nolan focused more on Bruce Wayne in Batman Begins than Batman.  If he can get the director to follow that formula and have the director put his own personal touch on the formula then it could be good.

Duncan Jones is a very interesting pick & I can only hope he gets it & does something interesting with Superman because there is nothing interesting about Superman.

I trust Nolan to pick a good director as well.

Oh wow Duncan Jones shoutout? That's awesome, Moon is easily one of my favourite movies of all time, i'd love to see Jones get some more limelight.

I hope they kinda go for a campy tone where Superman has ridiculous Superpowers (I think there was one comic run where he used his powers to turn Lois Black so she could report on da streetz.)  I thought Superman could maybe work more as a comedy then I remembered Superman III.

More Duncan Jones please!

Is it so much to ask that we get Superman actually fighting? Like really having a brawling, bashing, FIGHT? Have Mongul come to Earth. He's basically Darkseid-lite and requires a quarter of the background and explanation, so he'd be perfect for the movie-style format where you don't necessarily have time to get into things like Genesis, Apokolips and the New Gods.

I'd like to see a Superman that is, of course, a hero and a boy scout, but then pushed to his emotional limit and forced to display some near god-like abilities. At the end of the day I'd like to see people respect Superman, but also be a little intimidated and scared of him too.
