The hockey thing that was supposed to happen is now a 6 part mini tv-series. I'm excited, your thoughts?

Clerks 2 was disappointing and kind of threw out what made the first Clerks good, it had no soul.
I can't imagine a 3rd one would be any good. And what would it even be about? Didn't one of the characters find the love of his life and move on?
It would probably be about Dante hating his new role as owner of the Quick Stop while Randall and Elias have arguments over Star Wars and The Hobbit.
At the end of it Silent Bob will quote Star Wars and everything will work out.
@Napalm: Clerks 2 is funny, and entirely watchable. But Clerks 1 had something to say, the conversations between Randal and Dante were meaningful and stupid all at the same time, based on the experience Kevin Smith himself had working at a store just like those two characters. They mused about life and what their lives really meant when all they did was work in a corner store in a small New Jersey town. Clerks 2 felt like Kevin Smith forgot all those long nights selling packs of smokes to strangers and just wanted to fit in his jokes. Most of which were crude and only barely meaningful.
Given the direction Smith has taken his recent films and how this franchise has gone downhill going from the first to the second, I just can't get excited over a 3rd.

Is this some kind of sick joke? Everything about Clerks II is goddamn amazing.
Everything about Clerks 2 is a steaming pile of shit. Rosario Dawson is the only good thing about that movie. Kevin Smith is an egotistical asshole and I could not give two shits about another movie he makes. I loved Clerks, Mallrats, and even Dogma. Chasing Amy was ok, but everything else, especially his new stuff, is balls. The fact that Comic Book Men exists only increases my hatred for the man and what he's become.
I guess Kevin Smith finally saw Goon and realized that his hockey movie was shit. By the way if you haven't seen Goon then fix that. Don't let the fact that Seann William Scott plays the lead scare you because it is honestly a great performance.
Kevin Smith is one of those guys I loved in Junior High and by the time I was 21 had outgrown his style of humor. He also seems kinda egotistical and scared to move out of his comfort zone when faced with any criticism from non die hard fanboys. The fact that he is making Clerks 3 proves that he was taken back that not everyone loved Red State. I thought it was solid throwback to the 70's style exploitation horror films with some okay social commentary on the mishandling of Waco and Fred Phelps' hate filled religious protesting. My only complaint was that it should of ended at the sounding of the horns rather then having that last scene that spoon fed the audience on what just happened and why.
It really is disappointing that he would rather preach to the choir that is his rather large fanbase of his Smodcast podcast network then try to improve as a director and screenwriter.

@Ghost_of_GhostDad: Oh no, Hit Somebody is still happening. It's just going to be a six part TV mini series.
That's right, a SIX PART TV MINI SERIES.
Wait! What? A 6 hour hockey epic broken up into 6 parts? I like a well done sports movies like the previously mentioned Goon, the recent Warrior, and my all time favorite sports movie Hoosiers but how do you make a 6 hour sports miniseries? Smith needs one of his Yes Men posse to just ask him, "What the fuck are you doing?".
We're missing budget info for Clerks III. Help fill it in.
