Completely agree - the use of Lionel Richie was inspired. Overall, I think I preferred this week's episode to the season opener, although it seemed a little odd to have none of the new characters in episode 2.
Chang stuff was absolutely the highlight this week. Glad we got some more Michael K. Williams, but still no Goodman? I hope that wasn't just a one episode deal. The main story with the group was okay. I hope Todd becomes a recurring character. Loved the ending.
The duel internal monologues had me in stitches. Rest of the ep was alright. The whole "everyone in the group is a shitty person" angle is wearing a bit thin, I got tired of that on Its Always Sunny pretty quickly. It worked on Sienfeld because each person had their own seperate life with its own cast of characters as opposed to forcing everyone in the group to work within every premise. And they've been doing that with Chang, but basically only him. The show is better when they concentrate on a handful of the people in the group instead of trying to include them all. Like, they threw out the "we spend too much time together" nugget then never followed up on it. Them trying out other best friends coulda been funny. Oh well.

Yeah, this is pretty much exactly how I felt. The group storyline felt kinda weak, but the Chang narration was top notch stuff. Obviously, they can't do that every week with him as head of security, but it'll be interesting to see how he abuses that low level of power.

Interesting episode this week. Possibly my favorite of the season so far. Interesting idea that finally gave the group something interesting to do, and let the side characters, who have been working overtime this season, take a break. Over the top gay Dean still doesn't do it for me.
Tonights episode is possibly my new favorite.
Them doing the "staring at each other longingly" thing, but with Pierce and the doll, "What does a pregnancy test look like?", high Britta, the whole Troy timeline, candy cigs, evil study group...
Episode was complete fire.
