In a surprising move, to me anyways, NBC has allowed Community a 90 minute season 3 finale. Maybe it's NBC's way to clean out to episode backlog? Or maybe they are coming to realize the potential of Community? Either way they decided to go from two episodes back to back to three, nearly monopolizing the entire Thursday night on NBC. This is also to help in May sweeps, the time of year in which every network hopes to draw big ratings due to big finales and crazy show antics. Link.

Anyone excited over such a move? Maybe decent ratings for the finale, despite lackluster ones all season, will mean a season 4?

So, 3 part paintball? If they keep upping this ante season 4 will have to be a TV movie.

This is pretty interesting. Personally, I love the first 2 seasons, but feel that the show's kind of turned into a parody of itself and become a bit dull. BUT, I do think the show's unique sense of humor is something special and hope that it can stay on.

Maybe this move is a sort-of hail mary pass. The Office seems like it might me (hopefully!) coming to an end, and NBC needing to fill that gap knows that Community has a passionate, yet small, fan base, so maybe a big event like this would pull in new viewers? Well, whatever the reason, I hope it works.

Hopefully they won't split up the finale like last year. 90 minutes of Community goodness. Of the 90 minutes, how much Pierce will we see? Will the finale revolve around the good/evil timeline?
