So I am meeting with some friends from high school and I suggested we marathon through my copy of season 1. My problem is how do I hype it up beforehand so that they have enough interest to watch through the whole thing. I want to keep it simple so I want to focus on some of the best elements of the show, so what should I say?
To give some background info for my friends; Two of them once decided to watch Grown-ups over Inception (I later convinced them to sneak into Inception...after watching Grown-ups) so I don't know what that says about their sense of humor. The other one loves Arrested Development so I think he would be ok but he is a bit of a hipster so the heavy use of pop culture references might be a problem.
So what would be the best 5 minute car ride sales pitch to appeal to everyone so they will watch on a regular basis (when its back). I try not to push my interests on other people but I feel its necessary for the survival of the show to spread the show and make the world a better place. Yes I am shamelessly using my high school friends to get more viewers for the show but its for the greater good right?
