Want to own a piece of David Lynch? Worried that it might be some kind of wordlessly unsettling body part? Worry no more: the filmmaker and his collaborators are asking for $50 donations to their documentary project LYNCHthree, in exchange for a t-shirt or a totebag featuring the auteur's self-portrait. You also get the self-satisfaction that comes along with knowing that you're helping to bring some background info about some of Lynch's weirder films ( Inland Empire, we're looking at you) to light, presumably.
The Independent has some more info on the documentary, which is apparently the third in a trilogy. It's important to note that Lynch is not directing the doc, nor is he benefiting from the fundraising directly, but he did contribute a new, "abstract" self-portrait for the project, which is typically Lynchian in the way that it is really effing creepy.
Hey, I just added a bit to the biography we have of Lynch. Won't you do the same?
