Finally I get to see what this movie is about.

So agreed. Krull is the most unmerited movie...

Born after this movie was released and never heard of it. Interesting.

I always thought this felt like a spiritual successor to the Flash Gordon movie. It has that mix of Sci-Fi and Fantasy that you just get lost in. Now that you mention the similarities to Star Wars... totally dig this movie even more. One gripe with this movie is that the Glaive stuff should have been a bit more prevalent. By the way, nice use of the Troll 2 scream.

So, is that end bit the source for Rorie's "Oh my gawwwwwwwwwwwwwd" -- or was it dubbed in for laughs?

Krull's the shit.

@shakesvoltage:
I'm pretty sure that Troll 2 was the source for the "Oh my goooooooood" thing.

@shakesvoltage: "Oh my Gawwwwwwwwwwwwwwd!"  - Troll 2

@shakesvoltage: that is all rorie.

Also, I just found my new favorite phrase: "pinball machine of danger".

I saw this around when it came out (I was 5), and I've loved it ever since.  Like Rorie said though, it's more for nostalgia's sake than it being a very good movie.  It's certainly great to a 5-year old.

The light speed horses running so fast that fire is coming out is brilliant.

What is up with the aspect ratio on the clips? It looks like it should be 2.20:1 or 2.35:1. If that's how it's presented on Instant streaming I'm going to instantly NOT be watching it. Yuck.

This is one of the movies I was brought up on. I watched it so many times when I was a kid.

This movie looks so awesome, that it doesn't need any defending.

I grew up with movies like this.  In the summer my dad would take me to the movies and I had no idea what we were going to see.  Movies like Krull, Battle Beyond the Stars, the Buck Rogers and Battlestar Galactica theatrical pilots for the TV shows (yes I'm old).  It was a great time to be a kid and see amazing sci-fi movies at the movies.

Krull was cool, it was very Star Wars meets fantasy and I was really bummed there weren't toys for it play with.  I did have the board game and the Atari 2600 release.  It was a fairly popular movie at school, me and my friends used to make folded paper glaives and throw them at whomever was being the Beast.

Listen to this guy. He's knows.

I unashamedly love Krull.

This is a great movie, picked it up on VHS for 2 bucks a long time ago. Cheesy, but a hell of a lot of fun.

I can't wait to see Rorie try to defend Krull. I was not a fan. There is literally four times in the movie when a character says they must " go on alone".

My favorite lazy Sunday afternoon movie ever.
