I apologize if that is too big for the window, but holy mackeral are embed codes a bit tricky to figure out sometimes. Anyway, it's the first look at the new season of Doctor What, which I know some of you mildly enjoy in a laid-back and not at all serious way.

I can't wait for the Western one because Ben Browder is in it. I wish Amy or Rory didn't have to die this season because we're getting a new companion but I suppose the new companion will be awesome.

@CrimsonAvenger: I knew I recognised that guy in the trailer... hmmm I always associate Ben Browder with Stargate becoming terrible and I kinda blame him, although I know thats totally wrong and such.. I can't help it. Amy and Rorie might not die, they're just leaving.. but like 3 seasons is enough for them like. Their story is done.. or at least will be by the end of this season.

Laid back is exactly how I would describe my love for Doctor Who right now. I feel like I need a new Doctor to get me really interested again.

You didn't like seasons nine or ten of Stargate SG-1? Browder's Lt. Colonel (later full Colonel) Cameron Mitchell was my favorite character on the show next to Vala Mal Doran. I don't know if I'm interpreting Moffat's comment right but he sure made it sound like either Amy or Rory was going to die at the hands of the Weeping Angels. Source: BBC.co.uk/DoctorWho

Didn't like them :( they had their moments but I just felt the second that they tried explaining the ancients, they stopped being this cool ethereal thing, and that really took a lot away from it.. Also I thought Cam was just a watered down version of Jack and The ori were just a suped up version of the gould. Like the downfall of the gould or however you want to spell it, left the galaxy open for some awesome stories about the power vacuum and stuff that just wasn't explored as much as it could. Vala was awesome though.

Hmm I've been trying to stay away from spoilers about the new season so I'll leave that article be.. but weeping angels. YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES etc.

Doctor Who is fine and all, but I REALLY wanna see Doctor What. I'll never forget Rorie's description of it, what with the DeLoreans, and the Rebellion, and the Borg, and the Phone Booth, and Amy Pond being the Doctor's Girlfriend - it is truly amazing. :D

Seriously though, that Wild West episode. Did they shoot that while they were in America for last season/series? I like that Stephen Moffat seems well aware of the Doctor's growing popularity here. Between the fans in the US and Canada, I'd like to see the Doctor and his companions come by our countries to shoot more episodes. It's weird that Torchwood is a US/UK co-production then, when I'd imagine Doctor Who has the larger fanbase over here.

Be nice if Amy just explodes from being so smug and insufferable. Don't care how pretty she is, my tolerance for her is gone. I like Smith as the Doctor, though it sometimes gets too silly (then so dark it takes the piss). Still, a poor episode of Doctor Who is usually better than a lot of other crap on tv

I still do not know how to approach this hulking mass of British sci-fi. Screened should take up the challenge and put together a catch up video for the rest of us.

Mr. Weasley? Oh and hurray, more quarries in Wales . . .

I need to get caught up on Who but there's a reason I stopped watching: Moffat's Mary Sue, River Song, was getting on my last nerve.

Then there's a subtler problem with Matt Smith. He's good, I generally like him (in the "laid back" way that Tofford mentions above), but he's just too dry and detached in almost every situation. Heaven knows David Tennant was often a shameless overactor during his Doctor Who tenure but that's not necessarily bad. We got to see the Doctor fly into believable rages and suffer convincing emotional breakdowns.

@PlyrYaKA: Long standing tradition in Britain, filming in quarries. Why, with the right lighting and props you can be just about anywhere... that looks like a quarry
