Fans of the first season should be excited, as shit is actually going down! Kenny F*ckin' Powers is BACK! For those who don't know, Kenny escapes to Mexico, where he tries to... I don't know, maybe become a better person, or make a name for himself westbound and down (HAH.) Michael Pena and Ana De La Reguera are now starring as main characters, as those from the first will be absent except for a key few, mainly Stevie Janowski, who will track down Kenny all the way to the Dirty M. Will Will Ferrel and Adam McKay return to work with the North Carolina crew? Considering that Ferrel's character should probably be nonexistant this season, it's a possibility that they'll be on the producing front only. But, Adam and Will love Jody and crew's work, so we'll see; it'd be nice to have these guys work together once again!
Some sad news, though; Apparently, schedules are tight, and producers and directors Jody Hill, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, Ben Best, and et cetera are still trying to find time to film SIX EPISODES. I thought this issue was going to be addressed; six was way short for the first season. Well, I suppose that the series is shot like a film, so if we take like a film, then we'd be satisfied. All I want to see is Kenny being an asshole and getting slapped in the face and given a lesson... or do I. Seriously, I want Jody Hill to f*ck us up, sideways. Give me darkness, sir! The laughs will of course come, but Jody needs to bring out his dramatic side more! He's so good at it! Even Danny McBride can cope with what he's given; it'll be good!
It's a small promo, but at least we get something. Season 2 is predicted to air September 26 on HBO, but that's just a guesstimate. Let's cross our fingers, folks. Kenny Powers needs an audience, and fast. Oh, and for those who are up for some really loud, slightly dramatic, yet overly assholish comedy, check out Eastbound and Down Season 1 on DVD. WATCH IT, ASSBLOOD!
