Elsa Lafuente Pataky is a Spanish actrss that has appeared mainly in Spanish and French TV and films but recently is known for playing officer Elena Neves in the movie Fast Five.

Elsa was born in Madrid, Spain in 1976. It was her maternal grandfather, a professional actor, who made her discover her passion for acting. After him, adopted the surname of her mother to launch as an actress. For years, Elsa collated her studies of drama and journalism. Her first stage appearance came through Angel Gutierrez company.

The theater moved to TV, and her participation in the teen drama "The Wright Stuff" which debuted in 1997, and opened her the doors to the big screen. Appearing in genres as diverse as comedy, drama or terror.  Pataky was born in Madrid, Spain, the daughter of José Francisco Lafuente, and Cristina Pataky Medianu, Pataky attended the Universidad de San Pablo and studied journalism while also enrolled in acting classes. In addition to Spanish,  Elsa is fluent in English, Romanian, Italian, and French. 

Elsa Pataky and her longtime boyfriend and Thor Star, Chris Hemsworth, are now husband and wife. Hemsworth and Pataky  met through a mutual friend and got married over the 2010 holidays.
