Emma Frost

Background

Born to wealth, Emma grew up different than most kids. She was constantly pushed ton excel in school, but one time she brought home a 'B' on here report card; causing her father to become angry with her and mentally abuse her. Her powers began to manifest themselves when she was a teen and she used them to illicitly raise he grades to impress her father. As an adult she became a member of the Hellfire Club and later joined Professor Xavier's X-Men.

Major Plots

X-Men First Class

January Jones as Emma Frost

It isn't revealed when but Emma Frost joins Sebastian Shaw and his Hellfire Clubs inner circle. Shaw uses her telepathic powers to suggest high ranking officials do what Shaw wants when he can not coerce them into submission. One of these people was the US Colonel Hendry, who after being teleported to the war room by Azazel voted to put Jupiter missiles in Turkey stocking the cold war.

Frost also acts as a emissary in Shaws steed when she meets a Russian general hoping to get him to put missiles in Cuba. She uses her telepathy to trick the general into thinking he is sleeping with her but is interrupted by Erik Lensher and Charles Xavier. Lensher uses his powers to tie her to the bed nearly breaking her in her diamond form. The CIA soon come in and take her to headquarters where she simply waits for Shaw or someones eventual rescue. Rescue comes in the form of Magneto taking over the Hellfire Club and making it into his own Brotherhood. He kindly asks for her to join him since losing Charles and his telepathic abilities has left a whole in his life.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine

A young girl named Emma (Emma Frost in the promos) is captured by William Stryker, with the ability to turn her skin into an impenetrable diamond state. She, along with other captured young mutants are part of an experiment by Striker to develop a super-powered mutant using Deadpool. Emma is revealed to be the younger sister of Kayla Silverfox and her imprisonment is used to blackmail Kayla into seducing Wolverine. Emma is freed by Wolverine, along with the rest of the mutants. She is shown protecting them from bullets using her powers and even assists Cyclops in taking out the guards. Emma, Cyclops and a group of young mutants are rescued by Professor Xavier and offers them shelter at his school.

X-Men (TV Series)

Emma Frost is a member of the Hellfire Club in the 90's X-Men animated series. Along with Mastermind they use their powers to trick Jean Grey into joining the Club and unlock the power of the Phoenix. Although initially successful the Phoenixs power proved to be to much causing her to break free and end Mastermind. She reappears along with several captured telepaths as part of Apocalypse plot.

Wolverine and the X-Men

Frost appears at the mansion after Jean Grey and the Professor disappear. Wolverine in the midst of reforming the X-Men refuses her offer to join due to her past and what happened at her own school. He has to concede when she brings up the fact she is the only skilled telepath around and could use Cerebro to find both the Professor and Jean. Using Cerebro she proves her worth by finding the Professor in Genosha under the care of Magneto. When she uses Cerebro again she can not locate Jean who has simply disappeared. Over time she develops feelings for Scott Summers offering to erase Jean Grey from his memory in order to allow him to move on but he refuses in the end.

In the end she betrays the group by letting the Hellfire Club attack and kidnap a newly found Jean. Revealed to be the Hellfire Clubs White Queen along with the Stepford Cuckoos they go into Jeans mind breaking down the various mental barriers Professor X had put up. The Club double crosses her though she acted on the idea that the Club would destroy the Phoenix force but instead they wish to control it and use it to take over the world. Together with Cyclops and Jean Grey they battle the Phoenix force who used the Stepford Cuckoos as its host. Frost sacrifices herself by taking the force within her diamond form causing her to shatter into a million pieces.

Generation X

Along with Banshee she is the co headmaster of the Xavier school. Frost is the opposite of Banshess more laid back style this is revealed to be caused by losing her own group called the Hellions.Together she battles the mad scientist who wants to steals mutants powers.

Emma Frost like her name suggests can be cold and calculating always working her own game and thinking 3 steps ahead.Still she can care for people and dose help her allies. Still she has earned her reputation by fighting against the X-Men.

Powers

Emma is a powerful telepath and is capable of reading, scanning and controlling minds, she can also block against most telepathic attacks. Her secondary mutation is of an impenetrable diamond mode. In diamond form she is made of organic diamond and other telepaths can not penetrate her mind. A traded off though is that while in diamond form she can not use her telepathic powers but dose gain a degree of physical strength and durability.
