John Crowley (Brendan Fraser) is a successful businessman with two kids suffering from pompe's disease. He teams up with a brilliant but eccentric scientist, Dr Robert Stonehill (Harrison Ford) to develop a medicine for the fatal disease. The movie chronicles the effort they put into developing a cure.
