Fast Five is the fifth installment in The Fast and the Furious franchise written by Chris Morgan and directed by Justin Lin who has directed the two previous films Tokyo Drift, and Fast & Furious. The movie picks up right at the end of the previous film and focuses on Brian O'Conner (Walker), Dominic Toretto (Diesel) and Mia Toretto (Brewster) as they plan a heist to steal $100 million from corrupt businessman Hernan Reyes (Joaquim de Almeida) while being hunted down by U.S. agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson).

Brian and Dom

The movie starts with the end of Fast And Furious, having Brian O'Conner(Paul Walker) Mia Torrento(Jordana Brewster) Breaking Dominic "Dom" Toretto(Vin Diesel) out of the transport bus. The trio apparently agree to meet in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to meet up with Vince(Matt Schulze) but Brian and Mia get there but Dom is no where to be found. Vince offers Brian and Mia a job and with Dom not around, Brian "made the call" to take the job. During the job, Brian and Mia are reunited with Dom, Vince and the guys who brought the job to Vince. The job takes a turn when Dom notices that the men that they are working for/with show interest in one specific car, a Ford GT40 which Mia manages to escape with. Dom and Brian escape from the train after a confrontation between the two parties, but are captured shortly after.

This is were we first meet by Hernan Reyes(Joaquim de Almeida), owner of the car, corrupt businessman and all around bad guy. After a shootout Dom and Brian escape and head back to their safe-house determined to find out why Reyes wanted that car so bad. At the same time special agent Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) is arriving in Rio, a hard-nosed federal agent that never misses his target is sent by the U.S Government to find Dom and Brian as result of the murder of a few DEA agents that were on the train.

Back at the safe house Dom kicks Vince out after trying to remove a computer chip from the car which contained information on where Reyes keeps over $100 million. Special agent Luke Hobbs tracks Dom and Brian to the safe-house, but finds them under assault by Reyes' men. Dom, Brian and Mia manage to escape and Mia lets Brian and Dom know that she is pregnant with Brian's child.

Shortly after Mia announces that she is pregnant, Brian and Dom know that they need to make a big change and decide to plan one last heist on Reyes, so they can "get out" for good. They soon realize that they are gonna need some mayor backup and decide to organize a team. So they call in Han Seoul-Oh(Sung Kang), Roman Pearce(Tyrese Gibson), Tej Parker(Ludacris), Gisele Yashar(Gal Gadot), Tego Leo(Tego Calderón), and Rico Santos(Don Omar).

They soon realize that it would be close to impossible to get the whole $100 million since its spread out thought the city and once they take down one location, the money would be moved. So they decide to use this as part of their strategy. After assaulting one of Reyes locations and scaring him into moving all of his money into one location, the crew spirits take a dive after learning that Reyes has decided to put all of his money inside a police station, but Dom refuses to back down.

After some planning, practice and Racing for some pink-slips, Dom, Brian and the rest of the crew decide it is time to head out , but before Dom and Brian could leave special Agent Hobbs shows up. Hobbs and Dom engage in a inevitable violent fight that Dom would win, but that would also lead to him getting arrested along with Brian, Mia and Vince. While transporting them to an airport for extradition to the United States, the convoy is attacked by Reyes' men, killing Hobbs' team. Hobbs was saved by Dom, Brian and Vince who were let go by Elena Neves(Elsa Pataky) after seeing that they were outnumbered.
