Firefly is a 'Space-Western' by director Joss Whedon. It follows Captain Malcolm Reynolds and his ragtag crew of smugglers as they trek across the universe. Although cancelled after one season, favorable critical reception and fan outcry led Whedon and Universal Pictures to produce a film, 'Serenity', to finish the story.
