A very quiet and timid peagusus who loves to tend to the needs of animals big and small. One of the main characters from "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".
Fluttershy is a timid peagusus and friend of Twilight Sparkle. She spends her days caring to the needs of the local wildlife, as well as her own pets. While immensely shy, Fluttershy does have the capability to look after herself and show support to her friends.
Her cutie mark, three pink butterflies, symbolize her kindness towards animals.
She is played by Andrea Libman, who also plays Pinkie Pie.
Like her friend, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy attended Junior Speedster Flight Camp when she was a filly. But, unlike Rainbow, she has never been good at flying. During the race Rainbow Dash had to defend her from bullies, she was knocked off of her cloud and fell towards the earth. After landing on a large swarm of butterflies, she was taken in by the beauty of the land. When the effects of the sonic rainboom scared the nearby animals, she went over to calm them down. This gift of "communicating" with animals granted her a cutie mark, and gave her purpose in life.
Ever since, she had lived in a cottage outside of Ponyville, along with numerous creature companions. All her life she has tended to injured animals, big and small, and had become knowledgeable of every creature in Equestria. During the Nightmare Moon affair, she used her gentleness and knowledge to sooth a ferocious manticore, which had been sent after her and the other girls.
Fluttershy, as the name implies, is very timid. This sometimes keeps her from speaking her mind, or being taken seriously by some ponies. She has been known to be easily scared: even by her own shadow. But regardless, she does have the capability to stand up for herself and those she loves. Additionally, while normally reserved, she does have the capability to lose control of her emotions: having been seen jumping in unrestrained joy and even enraged.
Fluttershy often acts motherly to the animals she cares for and to small children. This includes treating some animals like small children, who sometimes take resentment to her actions. When an animal acts unruly, however, she raises her voice and scolds the creature; as well as, in some cases, giving them "the stare", a gaze that scares the creature into obedience.

Other Notes
- Of all her pets, she is often seen with a rabbit named "Angel", who is often cunning and persuasive.
- Despite loving all animals, even the most ferocious ones, Fluttershy is terrified of fully-grown dragons.
- Fluttershy was first introduced in the third-generation of the My Little Pony toy line, back in 2003.
