Made a person page, but it won't show up in search or wiki fields

I made a page about 5 days ago for a producer that wasn't in the wiki yet, Jerry Golod. I know from experience that after making a new person page you need to wait a bit for them to be able to show up in the "add to wiki" thing, but like I said it's been FIVE DAYS and this poor dude doesn't show up anywhere! Not in the search bar, wiki fields, or even that handy "link" tool here in the forums.

I've added people that have shown up normally since I made Jerry's page, so it seems to be a problem with that one alone.

I made the page in Chrome  6.0.472.63, using Vista. Thanks for the help!

Edit: All fixed thanks to Mushir! (although the "fix" of having to make an edit on the new page is pretty awkward. Any word from the programmin' dudes on why this happens?)

@gangly: I had the same problem and made a thread about it a while ago. Basically what you need to do is to just make an edit on their General Information section. So I changed his gender to Male and now he appears in the search bar. :)

It seems to be showing up for me in the search. Sometimes when you add a new page it doesn't immediately appear in search results. If that happens, try editing the page. That seems to cause the page to appear properly when trying to search or link to it.

@Mechanical_Ape: It appears in the search now because I edited the page. It didn't appear when gangly made the thread.

@Mushir: Thanks so much!!! I knew someone had made a previous post about this, but I couldn't find it.

I do hope that they eventually try and actually prevent this from happening, rather than just telling everyone to make a random edit on the new page so that they can make their first, intended edit. That could be pretty discouraging for someone just trying to casually add to the wiki.

Thanks again!

@gangly: Yea I agree. Hopefully it's something that the Top Men will fix soon. While the current fix is simple, for someone who doesn't know about it, this would be pretty annoying.

It's on the engineering todo list.  We need more Top Men.
