Bug Reporting

Subscribers! Today you were given access to the new editor. Throw some bugs my way we'll get them sorted out.

I am using Firefox 4.0 or whatever the new browser is called on a Windows 7 OS and I am having a problem saving work done on a list. The saving bar pops up on the page but it just sits there. Here's the link to the list

Just wanted to check about spoiler tags...when I use it in the new editor, they look like this:

Is that the way it's supposed to look, rather than the big red clickable thing?

@Arc209: Windows 7 comes with Internet Explorer, not Firefox. What kind of work are you doing to the list?

@skywarpgold: Yes that's the direction we're moving, but there are issues with it at the moment.

@gpbmike: Sorry that first part of the question was structured strangely I guess. I am on a Windows 7 OS and my browser of choice is Firefox which I guess is on the 4.0 iteration I think. I was adding a movie to the list and when I try to save it just stays on the saving screen.Also nice spoiler tag change! Neogaf inspired? I am joking. Thanks for the help.

@gpbmike: Not sure if this a problem specific to the new editor, but when I send a PM via the "Compose" button in my inbox, the screen sticks on the loading animation forever. The message does actually get sent, but the page still displays the loading graphic.

It's actually not, the issue has been reported on comicvine so the staff I believe are most likely aware of the issue.

Not related. It's in our bug system (#205). Coonce is on the job. Thanks.

@gpbmike: Thanks! I think he fixed it, since I haven't noticed it happening recently!

Also, I'm having a little trouble with tables. In previous versions of the new editor, you could right click in a table to add a row or column, but that functionality seems to be gone. Also, there are two different menus that appear at the top of the table, but they always appear on top of one another. One has the position modifiers and a "change" and "delete" button, while the second bar has the borders toggle, header toggle, position modifier, "table width," "delete," and "magic show" buttons.

How is it going for iPad support and forum posts? I can't seem to get the keyboard to "open" when I click in the text editing box on for a forum post. Is this something you guys are addressing?

@gpbmike: Wow, you guys work fast. It seems like tables are running perfectly again. Great work!

@bronsthermonster: iOS (iPad/iPhone/iTouch) doesn't support the "contentEditable" property which means our WYSIWYG editor will not work. I have plans to replace it with a simple editor like the one on the mobile site. You wouldn't be able to edit wikis with it, but you would be able to post to the forums and write simple blogs.

Not sure if this is the editors fault or not but I can't seem to post a review. The review seems to get stuck in loading I let it load for like 10 min nothing

I can't use CTRL+<Cursor key> to navigate through an editable block of text. When I try to do it, the cursor just stays where it is. I'm using Chromium (not Chrome) 12 on Ubuntu 11.04.

Links are not working properly. The link address will just appear right next to the word I was trying to link. OS X 10.6 with Chrome.

Here is something I just noticed while starting a new thread. After typing in the subject, I instinctively hit Tab to jump to the body. No dice. Tab brought me to the editor buttons. Those buttons should probably be removed from the Tab order.
