New Editor Interface Doesn't Always Work Correctly

I really like the new editor interface, but I noticed a strange problem with it. This description is weirdly specific, so I apologize in advance.

On any wiki page, when I make a change to any of the text fields under the default image (e.g. alias, release date, birthday; but NOT the multiple choice fields like language or genre) the first time I click the "submit changes" button I get the message that says I didn't make any changes. If I click the button again, the edit goes through as intended. The kicker is, that is I put a comment in the moderator comment field, the edit always goes through on the first try. This only happens on the text fields under the image, it does not seem to happen with edits to the deck, the body, or the multiple choice under-image fields.

I realize this was kind of long-winded and confusing, so if you have any questions, I'm happy to clarify!

@PatVB: Good catch, this will be fixed after the next deploy. The problem occurs when the field you edited didn't lose focus before hitting the save button so the system doesn't register that anything has changed. When the field you edited loses focus (such as when you add a moderator message), the change is registered. Technically all you have to do is click out of the field. After the deploy, saving your changes will force any area still in focus to lose focus. Cheers.

@gpbmike:

I can't seem to be able to move images into galleries. I uploaded some images today and I can't move them into galleries if they're already uploaded. I can still upload them directly to the specific gallery though. Also I seem to be unable to remove images from a gallery. I'm using Google Chrome and the most recent version of Firefox and I'm having the problem with both. My OS is Windows 7.

@CrimsonAvenger: Do you mean moving images into galleries on an object (movie, person, etc.) or in your profile? And can you be more specific? Does the dragging not work? The dropping onto a gallery?

@gpbmike:

On a wiki page. I can't drag images from a gallery into another currently. I can still just drop them into the gallery but drag them in, I can not currently. It just happened to me today by the way.

@gpbmike: I have a slightly similar problem in that I can move some images, but I can't make any image I load the default image by either the new nifty button on the bottom of the pics when you hit the edit button (which does nothing...there's no reaction at all) nor does it work if you go to a pics details and hit the flag button to make it a default image. When you hit it you get the first pop-up prompt that asks you if you want to make that image a default image, but when you hit it the second pop-up window that comes up tells you "Sorry, I was not able to compute that" and it never works.

@gpbmike: Ah, that makes a lot more sense! Thanks for the update!

I experienced all of those problems! and when I try and set an image into the gallery as the default image for the page, it says "Could not compute that" or something and refuses to do it.
