Hey everyone, figured I'd let everyone know that there is currently a 50% off Criterion Collection BD and DVD sale at B&N. Pretty sure this is both in-store and on the website. It's 50% off MSRP, sure, but Criterion movies sell for close to that even on Amazon so you're still getting pretty great deals. I went ahead and preordered Tokyo Drifter and Branded to Kill, which come out in December, for $20 each. Hopefully everyone else who is interested stocks up on some Autumn treats!

Criterion blu-rays are region-locked, which makes me a sad panda as I don't have a multi-region player.

Does anyone out there have a list of Criterion titles that are 'secretly' region free?

@litrock: Awesome! Thanks, duder!

Also, I misread "Tokyo Drifter" as "Tokyo Drift" and was superrrr confused for a second.

@PatVB: God, if only Tokyo Drift was a Criterion movie. I'd buy it thrice!

Also I heard around the water cooler that this sale lasts through most of November, so feel free to stock up on all sorts of goodness. I'd love to hear what other people decide to get, if anything.

Ugh, so now they're the price of regular-ass DVD's?

I guess I'll try to grab Videodrome.

Will probably pick a few more up before the months out but here's the initial haul:
