Yes. And I'll be especially diligent while on the prowl for standard DVD media now that Blu-ray is becoming evermore popular; I'll let all the cool kids buy their Blu-ray why I purchase the cheaper format.

I never buy digital. I like to have physical boxes so I can have them on display. A wall of movies is a great conversation starter.

On Blu-Ray, if they're available, yes. Digital copies of stuff doesn't interest me all that much, since the only times I watch movies on my computer are when I'm watching something that's still in theaters...you know what I mean by that.

Agreed. Hopefully, with the Blu-Ray craze, DVD will become even cheaper!

I still buy DVDs, will eventually switch to Blu-Ray, but I only buy movies I know I like a lot. I don't understand people who buy any old movie on DVD just to watch once.

Only if it's a show that I know I'll re-watch over again and it has to have commentaries. I will no long purchase movies or shows that do not have commentaries.

I can't bring myself to do it. I just can't watch a show or movie more than once unless it has been a long time. The library, Netflix and whatever I can find streaming keep me perfectly satisfied. A dvd collection would just be a sad collection of plastic to me.

I almost voted "Only Blu-Ray" but I guess you should've had "Preferably blu-ray" or something since I don't mind buying a DVD, but if a blu-ray version is available I much prefer it.

But yeah, I have heaps n' heaps of blu-rays and DVDs, mostly movies, but some TV shows as well.

Usually when I can get them really cheap. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang for $4? Sold! Community Season 1 for $15? That's a steal!

I buy DVD's of the films I would want to rewatch. In some cases multiple copies. With that, my collection is still pretty slim. I have big series collections of shows like The Simpsons and King of the Hill, which I mostly have because I was in a collecting craze a few years back. I still buy movies but I don't see many cases where I will buy shows, especially shows I haven't seen before (which was that case with every season set I've bought in the past). When I see series are on Netflix I jump 10 feet in the air because getting shows on DVD from Netflix is a big pain. I really want to watch Oz, but I don't want to have to go through the ordeal of getting that show through Netflix, especially because there are only 2 or 3 episodes per disc.

Exactly!

Walking out of blockbuster (still doing well here in Denmark) with 10 movies on dvd for the rough price of 1 brand new blu-ray is awesome.

Blu-ray for me. Its espically easy to go Blu-ray when you shop from Amazon or get alot of store coupons that make most of my Blu-ray purchases little more than $10

Occasionally I buy Blu-Rays of animated movies and some action/comic/sci-fi stuff.

Yes, though I'm probably done with DVD's at this point. (Animated) TV shows I must point out, as I rarely watch movies or regular-ass sitcoms.

For the most part, I buy physical, full seasons because I like listening to the commentaries.

Mainly I buy them on dvd, but if it's a good offer I might get the blu-ray

No I prefer to go down to my local Home Depot and hire Mexicans to reenact scenes from my favorite movies and tv shows.  I hate to say it but Jesus' performance as Travis Bickle gives Robert De Nero a run for his money.

I'll keep buying physical copies until they come out with a service for movies that is as good as Steam is for games.

I buy movies that I have already watched a few times and know I will want to watch again. I prefer blu ray when I can, but don't mind DVD if its a comedy or something. I buy TV shows when they aren't available on Netflix/Amazon/Hulu instant watch and know I will watch them over and over. The box sets of the Simpsons are a good example of this. I buy TV mostly on DVD too.

All the time, maybe two or three times a week. I still don't own a Blu-Ray but will get one when the time comes.
