It's late and I am not going to pretend that I have the wherewithal to form coherent thoughts right now as all I can think about is being on my couch and watching some sort of entertaining thing. So, instead of making you listen to me ramble, I'm just gonna say...these movies are on DVD now. I hope you enjoy one or two of them. Goodnight. Sleep tight. Don't let the bed bugs bite.
DVD/Blu-Ray: January 29th
| 1. Paranormal Activity 4 The fourth installment of the franchise has become stale, boring and just overall bad. I would say…go back and watch the first. | |
| 2. Seven Psychopaths The movie I wanted to see most this year that I couldn't get a screener of. I guess I know what my plans are tonight. See you soon, you psychopaths! Oh, and this will also be my shameless plug for In Bruges by the same writer/director. Gdamn, I love that movie. | |
| 3. Hotel Transylvania Adam Sandler's attempt at making a good movie this year and well, yeah, that's all I have to say about that. | |
| 4. The Cold Light of Day Henry Cavill (otherwise known as the new Man of Steel) stars in this thriller that follows the life of a guy who goes on a sailing vacation with his family, but then his world is turned upside down when his family is kidnapped by agents looking for a briefcase. Sounds good, but according to the rottentomates, it is only 5% good. | |
| 5. The Awakening A popular author who writes about the science of ghosts and how they aren't real has her world turned upside down when she investigates a boarding school and findings she can't explain. It feels like it is going to have a twist like "The Others", but is it compelling enough to find out if that is true? | |
| 6. Downton Abbey Well, if you are like me and don't want to wait week to week for the show to air on PBS, pick up the Season 3 DVD and watch them all at once. | |
| 7. Batman: The Dark Knight Returns Part 2 This is out of my realm of knowledge, but it sounds pretty incredible and something I should investigate. |
