Now then, what else is coming out this week?
| 1. Immortals I had a goofy good time with this movie, although I suspect that the experience won't quite be the same on the small screen. The canvas of a movie screen is where this seems to belong. I'd be happy to be wrong, though. | |
| 2. Jack & Jill Adam Sandler: not even once. | |
| 3. Footloose There have been a few movies in my time at Screened that I have been legitimately surprised that I've enjoyed, and the remake of Footloose was one of them. Despite being essentially a beat-for-beat remake of the first film, it still had a decent amount of energy and some great dance scenes. | |
| 4. Like Crazy I heard relatively good things about this young-couple-forced-apart-by-distance drama, but then, the trailer made it look pretty much insufferable. That's probably because I loathe all happiness that other people possess. | |
| 5. Senna I'm not sure what's new about this Blu-Ray release of the film that's been on Netflix Streaming forever. I do know that I sincerely hope that this adds punctuation to the subtitles. I have not been able to finish the film because none of the sentences people are speaking have periods. I'm serious. | |
| 6. The Skin I Live In I've read plot spoilers for this latest Pedro Almodovar movie, and I'm not sure if I can even tell you how bizarre it is. Looking forward to checking it out myself. | |
| 7. Columbus Circle Selma Blair "stars" in this high-rise thriller from the writer of Midnight Run. I'm not sure Selma Blair can even be said to be an actress anymore, though; she's a pretty great moper, though. | |
| 8. Game of Thrones Game Of Thrones: Season One, Happily Divorced: Season One, Hawthorne: The Complete Final Season, MI-5: Volume 10, Transformers Prime: Season One | |
| 9. Monty Python and the Holy Grail Older films: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, To Catch A Thief, The Town: Ultimate Collector's Edition |
