So I just watched Skyline and as Cloverfield what the fuck are they trying to do?
The whole movie reminds me of an Alien invasion of Zombies.
Give me Braaains.
There is no plot; the special effects are a disgrace.
And it just seems as they are trying to make something awesome but really fail at It.!
The dialogue is half written and you can't relate to any of the characters. You try to get a feeling for the leading couple but the whole thing is off in my eyes. You only get half introduced to most of the characters. And the characters you would think was the leading roles just aren’t. They spin everything around.
We get introduced to an old buddy of Jarrod from the old days. Terry; and he is apparently a key character but no they just kill him off along with his “mistress” just for the fuck of it. And then they bring in the manager or who the fuck that was in and make him a “key character”. So now we are apparently supposed to relate and accept the manager as one of the leading roles, but he just does not fit in
Running back and forth safe outside? No, not safe outside. Let’s go inside, no not safe there either. Yeah let’s go UP to the roof must be safe there. NO not really safe there either.
So you have Jarrod and his girl running all over the place and end up on the roof coz that’s the smartest plan there is. And they kill on Alien thingy by smashing its brains in. Now I can’t be the only one who sees the Zombie relations here?
But the big one comes and beams them up like all the other people. Now you would think that that was the end right? No no, so they get up into the Spacecraft or whatnot and Jarrod gets his brains sucked out and into one of the other Alien droids.
But wait Jarrod is to strong and after getting his head ripped off it still survives inside the droid and Jarrod takes over and starts whacking the other droids into pieces because it’s still Jarrod inside the droid.
The whole movie was half maid in my eyes; if you see the trailer you have actually seen the entire movie. Skyline seems as just 20 of a regular action movie. I was waiting for the interesting part to appear but is just does not.
Now this movies get a solid big ass vacuum nr 9 from me, now start cleaning the apartment coz this movie sucks hard.
