@PenguinDust: Yeah, it's not terrible, but being a fan of Chandler I thought Garner was a pretty terrible choice for Marlowe, and I didn't like how they shifted everything to a 70s setting. And really, there was very little of Chandler that showed through in the movie. Most of the snappy dialogue was gone, and there wasn't a very good mood either. I remember one particular line where Garner is surrounded by thugs who motion towards their cars for him to get in, and Garner says "beep beep". Come on! Is that seriously the best dialogue you can come up with?? It ain't written by Chandler, and it certainly isn't Marlowe.

Out of curiosity though, what is your favorite movie adapted from Chandler?

Probably Man of the Year, coming in at 21 percent. I only own it because my dad bought it and after he finishes his movies he usually just passes them on to me or my sister.

By far it's Battlefield Earth, which I was very sad to see really isn't all that bad. Although RT's 2% from critics would tell you otherwise. ;)

One of the funniest comedies ever made.

Wild Wild West at 21%. It's not my fault though, it was bundled in with my first DVD player.

I have always advised my father on his DVD purchases. This one slipped by me, however. He just came home with it one day, assuming that a sci-fi film starring Travolta couldn't be that bad.

What a tragic movie night that was...

I think it's gotta be The House of the Dead, at 4%

... Though I do own Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever on VHS.

I have 3 Steven Segal mid 2000 movies that don't even have reviews. xXx 2 is at 16%. I think that's the one.

@Acura_Max:

I own all Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I did not know Dead Man's Chest, and At World's End, were ranked so low.

The Punisher with Thomas Jane and John Travolta. 29% I honestly didn't think it was that bad.

It appears that AvP with 22% beats out Van Helsing at 23% for the "worst" move in my collection.

On the Tomatometer, Doogal, with a 7%. Beloved as a b-movie between myself and my brother, along with a handful of friends. Still an awful film, though.

On MetaCritic, it's a VHS of Pokémon 3: The Movie. On DVD, it's...well, it's still Doogal.

For my money, the worst movie in my collection is Howard The Duck.
