Putting up my review of Laputa: Castle in the Sky. Also hoping to get in reviews of My Neighbor Totoro (almost done though will probably wait for next week's showcase) and The Secret World of Arrietty.

Countering Rorie being wrong about Arrietty, I offer my own rather glowing review.

Criterion Cuts this week goes super obscure with Bunuel's religious farce Simon of the Desert.

The Paul Thomas Anderson series of Directed Viewing ends on an epic note with There Will Be Blood. Also, a tease of the next Directed Viewing series!

I'll have the episode guide for A Friend In Deed up by week's end.
Until then, I think it's worth reporting that mike20 has become the first Screened user, as well as the first Whiskey Media user, to hit the one million wiki point mark. Here's the forum post where he announces this, so give him a pat on the back.... and maybe a life to boot. (j/k)

I made a couple of reviews of two old films, Brick and Tokyo Drifter as well as three reviews for new-ish movies Hugo, Tower Heist and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Also made a blog showcasing Venezuela's 2011 movies.
