I get that a movie having a few cliches isnt bad, but i think we've gone too far and made cliches that arent really cliches. climactic final battle, troubled parent-child relationship, inspirational speech (and that one is spelled wrong), and they lived happily ever after, and fish out of water seem like to broad ideas to simply call a "cliche." can they be deleted?

(if people disagree im not going to be upset. im not trying to hurt anyone's feelings here. they just seem irrelevent and make it look like we hate all forms of plot in movies).

And they lived happily ever after is kind of a fairy tale cliche. The others sound more like concepts though.

The only two I'd agree with switching to concepts are Troubled Parent-Child Relationship and Fish Out of Water Inspirational Speech- while it may be in need of a spelling fix, yes- describes a specific moment in a film that you know exactly what will happen during and after, same with the other two.

I wouldn't mind seeing those cliches trimmed a bit for content, not every dispute between a child and parent in a movie needs to be considered for that cliche. So maybe some maintenance so they aren't so all encompassing.

Yeah, a lot of those could either be turned into concept pages or deleted entirely. I just wish there was an easy way to transfer the content...

yeah that is a pity. but i guess we can do it the old fashioned way and just make a concept page, put everything in it, and then delete the old one.

I still have trouble deciphering what the difference between a concept and cliche is.
