The Oscars are closer than you think and soon movies no body saw during the year will be on everyone's minds. But alas, as I wander around Screened's wiki these possible nominees and Oscar winners are lacking on their pages. So I am putting the call out to all you wiki editors and wanna-be wiki editors, lets do work! Lets give these pages some work and at least make them informational for someone who knows nothing about the movie.

Here are a few to start with, feel free to add any and all suggestions and keep watching the wiki task queue for bonus points ;)

Oscar Worthy FlicksReason
The Descendants4 stars on Screened and plenty of positive reviews, Clooney may get the Leading Role nominee.
MelancholiaGreat reviews and has already had some work done to the page. Make it even better!
ContagionWhile getting mixed reviews this film is packed with actors who gave good performances, it has a chance.
The HelpMix great acting with battling racism and you have yourself an Oscar movie!
The Tree of LifeAn overreaching film with Sean Penn? Why even wonder if this will get a nomination?
The MuppetsI can dream can't I? Possible the best reviewed film all year, it has an outside shot.

I don't expect anything crazy on these pages but give me something at least! Again feel free to nominate your possible nominees and lets get to work!

Yes, please we do need people to start work on our Wiki especially these films and many others. I'll try and do what I can myself. I'll probably write up something on one of these. Someone else besides me thinks The Muppets could get an Oscar nomination? It's about time. In all seriousness the Wiki is something we need more help on on this site. There are so few of us working on it seems. :(

Don't forget Have a Little Faith! The Hallmark Channel's own movie starring TV's own Laurence Fishburne and Bradley Whitford! It's sure to win all of the awards!

@CrimsonAvenger: Wiki editing can be intimidating to some. The Muppets deserve at least a nomination imo.

@PatVB: Oh Bradley Whitford, why.

There is no reason to really add huge articles but at least a basic overview would be nice, and the basic associations like similar movies or cliches would also be nice.

@FinalDasa:

Wiki Editing at first is kind of intimidating. I at first was kind of intimidated by Wiki Editing but after a little while it's no longer scary I guess.

How about The Ides of March? Seems like there was a fair bit of Oscar buzz when it came out.

@CrimsonAvenger: You get used to it after awhile, especially big edits. Least thats what happened to me anyways.

@Christina: Promises promises ;)

@skidd: Thats a good one, I didn't include it because the page already has a lot on it, but feel free to edit whatever you think is missing!

Also, don't forget The Change Up! Best movie of 2011!

@FinalDasa: Ah, shoot! I even clicked on the page and somehow missed all that info (forgot movie pages and people pages were structured differently).

Apologies @CrimsonAvenger: , that wasn't supposed to be a discreet criticism - the page is looking great!

@skidd:

Thanks. I wrote that entire page up in less than an hour one day. For some reason I find it way easier to write up movies starring George Clooney than anything else. So I just want to put it out there that I'm calling dubs on The Descendants.

How could we forget such an Illustrious and mesmerizing film as The Change Up?

Unfortunately I've seen none of those movies so far. I feel really bad for not being able to contribute as much as before. School's been a bitch this year.

@Mushir: No worries, if you do happen to think of something, maybe a past Oscar winner, and have the time join on in!

Also I purposefully left out Moneyball, even though I think Brad Pitt could get a nomination out of it, because I'm tackling that page :)

Hugo could also be out there for some nominees, it does have some work done and I know it just came out, but someone has to of seen it!

Also someone tackle The Artist and Shame. Both are obvious Oscar bait and Artist is missing some credits info, easy points!

I'd love to do work for Melancholia, but I have no experience with "Wiki editing" but this thread will help me, hopefully.

teehee

Melancholia was fun to work on. These Wiki tasks are fun to do, especially after seeing the film and wanting to know everything about the behind-the-scenes.

@AssInAss: Yea I totally broke my promise to work on that page, I did nothing on it! It was an amazing movie though.
