I enjoy watching movie trailers, and I think having them before a movie is part of the experience. However, there is certainly a limit in how much an audience wants to see, and Summit/Lionsgate are long past it. While the standard amount of trailers is four, with very high demand movies getting as many as six, I was shocked to see that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 had seven full length trailers. Trailers are generally two and a half minutes, so that means it was over twenty minutes before the film started, and that is only if the theater didn't show its own commercials beforehand (I arrived early, so I don't know if the trailers started playing at the start time like they were supposed to).
For those curious, the trailers were for: Beautiful Creatures, The Host, Les Miserables, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, Now You See Me, Oz: The Great and Powerful, and Warm Bodies.
