Hey there, folks!
Now, first of all, don't panic. The Winter Season is still going ahead as planned. It starts tomorrow/Thursday, in fact! I know! It hasn't come around quickly in the slightest, has it? It'll run for 12 weeks starting this week and finishing with a Massive Thanksgiving Bonanza (TM)! So, don't worry, Screened is still the only place on the Internet in which you can take part in no-stakes betting on the week's movie releases with a bunch of strangers who, quite frankly, I much prefer the company of than anyone in my general vicinity and who I have to converse with on a daily basis. I think, I should probably check that out. If it's true, we have our new slogan!
But, on to more important matters: I, unfortunately, have plenty of prior commitments coming up over the next 12 weeks (almost all of which involve college because whilst I'm a fantastic MC and a rather decent/good writer, I absolutely suck when it comes to public education), so I won't be running the League this time around. If things look up next Summer (and if we're all still around next Summer, both due to the site's perpetual state of limbo and the incoming ArMEGAdon), I'll return to run it then, but for now I'll just be a competitor.
Which brings me to the reveal! At the end of last season, one user volunteered to run the League themselves this time if I could not and, thankfully, they were still willing to do so when I dropped this on them last weekend. As such, I present to you, your new Box Office Winners League... runner... guy: luck in running this operation and direct all of the violent complaints and accusations of bias that you'd normally send to me his way!
