AMC, the cable TV network behind such hits as The Walking Dead, The Killing, and Mad Men, may be losing its spot as a channel on the Dish Network lineup soon (June). Dish says it's the difference between the cost AMC charges and the actual viewers they bring in. Link. But despite that monkey on their back AMC with a recent report announcing that their Q1 earnings are $43.2 million which is nearly 20% from last year and higher than expected. Link.
This follows more reports from AMC saying The Walking Dead is one of the best watch scripted shows and Mad Men is experiencing its best season yet.
So with so many stories and rumors about AMC's budget problems with its shows, its problem with Dish, but it's high earnings it really seems that AMC could go either way.
