Oh AMC... I loved you. You brought three stellar shows (Breaking Bad, Mad Men and The Walking Dead) onto television without being a premium cable channel. I thought you were going to usurp HBO as the king of high quality. But then you created Comic Book Men, which is a show that's just not for me, and then a talk show about The Walking Dead. I let that slide. Then you created The Pitch and then you crossed the line with Small Town Security.

Well now AMC has announced two more reality shows about taxidermy and another called Venice Beach Freakshow...

Now both shows don't have titles that are set in stone, but at this point, I just... just... argh! I suppose AMC would rather become the next A&E than HBO. If this is what they're going to shift their focus onto, then they should change their name. AMC stood for American Movie Classics. That title should be revoked.

As much as we connoisseurs of fine TV and Film might love The Walking Dead, BrBa, Mad Men, those things cost money lots and lots of money as they go on and AMC needs to turn a profit. So these cheap reality TV shows aren't that surprisings it isn't hopefully they don't turn into A&E which is yea pretty terrible.

Pretty much this. AMC's conflict with keeping up a budget for these hit shows has constantly been in the news, so it makes sense to some businessman that cheaper and easier to produce shows are the way to go.

I can agree with that notion, but I just wish they'd do something more interesting than taxidermy. I played that DLC for Heavy Rain, nothing good will come of it.

In all honesty I enjoyed Comic Book Men, I believe that it should be an ongoing series for them. It's cheaper than Mad Men, The Walking Dead, and BrBa to make at least. Why doesn't AMC bring in some other shows from overseas? Lets say the UK, I believe Misfits would work out great for AMC.
