Adam Sandler has always had a patchy career, but I find him to be one of the most fascinating figures in Hollywood only because there seems to be something in him that desperately wants to get away from the arrested development man-child comedy that made him a mega-star, but he also knows which side his toast is buttered on. (In this metaphor, "butter" is standing in for "fecal humor".) So instead of trying to reach for higher grounds, he does the easy thing and gets the cheap laugh while those of us who would like to see more are left scratching our heads.
And I really liked Funny People.
More personally: glad to see that irreverent tone of Screened will remain intact. Though a profile/video introducing these new writers would be nice.
