Chinese firm to buy AMC Theaters for $2.6 Billion.

Any thoughts on this? Hopefully this company, Wanda Group, will infuse some cash into AMC to update their facilities a bit and beef up their staffs. Also, one wonders if AMC will be exhibiting more Chinese films in some markets (Even though they said they wouldn't be distributing films in the near future, they can change their minds down the road as the Chinese film industry gets larger)

Interesting tidbit to come from this article. Evidently Disney will be teaming up with Chinese investors on Iron Man 3, and the new film will incorporate "Chinese elements" So I guess Mandarin is confirmed for IM3?

Hopefully, this means Mad Men,The Walking Dead and other franchises on AMC will get the budgets they deserve. I'm also really excited for Iron Man 3. So far it seems really interesting.

@Acura_Max: AMC Theaters, I believe the television network is a separate entity not related to the theater chain.
