We are getting to that time of the year when fall season premieres begin airing (finally!). It is sometimes hard to keep track of everything that will be premiering, so I thought I would do a quick rundown of scripted fall series premieres. Because I couldn't resist I noted some highlights and some series that I just can't wait to return. Mark your calendars!

Also, I have had the pleasure (I wish I could say I had more pleasure) of getting a sneak preview at many of the new pilots/shows airing this fall, so look out for a rundown and some initial thoughts on those coming soon.

*(N) denotes a new show

August 31st

Doctor Who, BBCA, 9:00pm

Sept. 3rd

Coma, A&E, 9:00pm (N)

The mini-series produced by ScottFree revolves around a young medical student who discovers that something sinister is going on in her hospital after routine procedures send more than a few seemingly healthy patients into comas on the operating table. Ellen Burstyn stars in the short form series that looks pretty dark and creepy

Sept. 11th

Go On, NBC, 9:00pm (N)

New Normal, NBC, 9:30pm (N)

Parenthood , NBC, 10:00pm

Sons of Anarchy, FX, 10:00pm

Season 5 will explore the repercussions of the events of Season 4 and the new change in the SAMCRO hierarchy. Ashley Tisdale, Joel McHale and Jimmy Smits will make guest appearances which all sound like fascinating choices for such a gritty show, but I trust them.

Sept. 13th

Glee, FOX, 9:00pm

Sept. 16th

Boardwalk Empire, HBO, 10:00pm

Nucky Thompson will be forced to deal with the consequences of his actions and the violence at the end of last season

Sept. 17th

Bones, FOX, 8:00pm

The Mob Doctor, FOX, 9:00pm (N)

Revolution, NBC, 10:00pm (N)

Sept. 20th

SNL Weekend Update Thursday, NBC, 8:00pm

Just in time for election season, SNL weekend update appears in Primetime again. Let's just hope they stumble upon a combination as incredible as Tina Fey as Sarah Palin this time around.

Up All Night, NBC, 8:30pm

The Office, NBC, 9:00pm

The final season of the series begins and while it might be time, I'm still excited to see how they wrap it all up.

Parks and Recreation, NBC, 9:30pm

Leslie will learn the ropes of her new position and have to deal with having a long distance relationship. Sounds like it could be a lot of disaster...which will equal hilarity.

Sept. 21st

Haven, SyFy, 10:00pm

Sept. 23rd

Treme, HBO, 10:00pm

Sept. 24th

How I Met Your Mother, CBS, 8:00pm

Partners, CBS, 8:30pm (N)

2 Broke Girls, CBS, 9:00pm

Mike and Molly, CBS 9:30pm

Hawaii Five-0, CBS, 10:00pm

Castle, ABC, 100:00pm

Sept. 25th

Ben and Kate, FOX, 8:30pm (N)

New Girl, FOX, 9:00pm

Jess and friends are back for more indie, quirky, comedy, and maybe Schmidt will wear a shirt more this season.

Mindy Project, FOX, 9:30pm (N)

NCIS, CBS, 8:00pm

NCIS: LA, CBS, 9:00pm

Vegas, CBS, 10:00pm (N)

Private Practice, ABC, 10:00pm

Sept. 26th

Animal Practice, NBC, 8:00pm (N)

Guys with Kids, NBC, 8:30pm (N)

Law and Order: SVU, NBC, 9:00pm

The Middle, ABC, 8:00pm

Modern Family, ABC, 9:00pm

Criminal Minds, CBS, 9:00pm

CSI, CBS, 10:00pm

South Park, Comedy Central, 10:00pm

Sept. 27th

Big Bang Theory, CBS, 8:00pm

Two and a Half Men, CBS, 8:30pm

Person of Interest, CBS, 9:00pm

Elementary, CBS, 10:00pm (N)

Last Resort, ABC, 8:00pm (N)

Fringe, FOX, 9:00pm

Sept. 30th

The Simpsons, FOX, 8:00pm

Bob's Burgers, FOX, 8:30pm

The Good Wife, CBS, 9:00pm

The Mentalist, CBS, 10:00pm

Dexter, Showtime, 10:00pm

Homeland, Showtime, 10:00pm

Oct.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, FX, *No exact date or time announce yet

American Horror Story, FX, *No exact date or time announced yet

Oct. 2nd

Raising Hope, FOX, 8:00pm

Oct. 3rd

Neighbors, ABC, 8:00pm (N)

Supernatural, CW, 9:00pm

Oct. 4th

30 Rock, NBC, 8:00pm

We might have to wait until October, but hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Oct. 7th

The Cleveland Show, FOX, 7:30pm

Oct. 10th

Chicago Fire, NBC, 10:00pm (N)

Nashville, ABC, 10:00pm (N)

Arrow, The CW, 8:00pm (N)

Oct. 14th

The Walking Dead, AMC, 10:00pm

I have yet to catch up (working on it since DVDs came out yesterday!) but I know there were some big bombshells at the end of last season and many people can't wait for more (even if there was a lack of zombie-dom last season, hopefully that will be fixed.)

Oct. 17th

Suburgatory, ABC, 9:30pm

Oct. 19th

Whitney, NBC, 8:00pm

Community , NBC, 8:30pm

It will be interesting and perhaps a little sad to watch the series without Dan Harmon writing it, but hopefully they will still be able to capture his crazy crazy funny on the show.

Nikita, The CW, 9:00pm

October 23rd

Happy Endings, ABC, 9:00pm

Don't Trust the B, ABC, 9:30pm

October 26th

Touch, FOX, 8:00pm

The show starring Kiefer Sutherland who deals with life with his autistic son who is mute, yet has the ability to see extraordinary patterns returns. I believe the first season was inconsistent, but I am hoping they had enough time to work out the kinks and come back with a strong season two.

Nov. 2nd

Last Man Standing, ABC, 8:00pm

Malibu Country, ABC, 8:30pm (N)

So excited for Sons of Anarchy and The Walking Dead to come back! I hadn't heard about those guest appearances in SoA and am interested to see how they play out.

So many shows, so few I actually want to, and am willing to set time aside to watch.

Can not WAIT for SOA to come back. Hopefully Danny Trejo continues to pop in and we somehow get a fight between him an gangster Jimmy Smits.

Last Resort has me interested but I don't quite see how it could last long term. Community will be interesting and hopefully not terrible like Go ON seems to be. Elementry might not be soo bad. Sure it won't be Sherlock good but hey if we can get a solid quirky detective show with some Homesisims that could be watchable in an NCIS sorta way. Revolution is giving me the same kind of vibes I got from The Event and that other blackotu show from ABC a couple years ago, which is a bummer since I think it could be good and it has GIANCARLO ESPOSITO seriously that is a great name.

man I really should like stop playing Guild Wars 2 and watch TV since I kinda write about that sorta.

No dates for Dexter?

I'm super excited to see Harold Perrineau as the main villain for Sons of Anarchy. He's incredible.

CASTLE IS BACK, YOU MOTHEREFFERS

And so is The Mentalist.

I like well done, witty police procedurals.
